He leaves to cherish his memories: nine daughters: Lacriscia (Fredrick) Bankhead, Demetra Petty, Nasdella Hunter, Barbara (Tony) Agnew, Vivian Bell, Vicki Wright, Buffy Scott, Tarsha Tucker and Norma Jean Van; three sons: Winorva Nichols, Juan Petty, and Walter (Cynthia) Bell; one sister, Lodina Peterson; two brothers, Jessie Lee Evans and James (Thelma) Evans Sr.; one aunt, Ruby Turner and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
