MS. FRANSTINA "FRAN" TOWNSEL

March 3, 1976 - January 4, 2022

Franstina Townsel was born March 3, 1976 in Starkville, MS to Wilbur Milons and Brenda Townsel. She confessed a hope in Christ Jesus at an early age at the Mount Peiler Missionary Baptist Church. Franstina is a graduate of Starkville High School where she was a member of the National Honors Society, Band of the Blue and Gray in which she played the saxophone and keyboard, Manager for the outstanding Lady Jackets basketball team and threw the “Shot Put” for the Yellowjackets track and field team. She earned a track and field scholarship to Mississippi State University. Her love for technology prompted her to leave MSU and attend East Mississippi Community College where she received an A.A.S. in Computer Programming. She was also a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honors Society. She later attended DeVry University where she received Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems. Her professional experience includes PC Onsite Technician for QualxServ, Starkville, MS, and Mobile Help Desk Support for IBM Computers, Dunwoody, GA and Information Technology Specialist for Starkville School District, Starkville, MS until her health hindered her ability to work full time. She was a member of the Mount Peiler Missionary Baptist Church where she participated in Sunday School, Bible Study and the Choir. She departed this life on the 4th day of January 2022 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital- Golden Triangle in Columbus, Mississippi. She leaves to cherish her precious and loving memory her father Wilbur (Cheryl) Milons, brother, Christopher (Malaina) Townsel, grandparents C.L. (Hattie) Jordan, who have provided her a place called home since birth, and Eddie (Dorothy) Webster, a special niece, Christen Townsel, and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Her beloved mother, Brenda Townsel, preceded her in the new life.
