Mrs. Odell E. Spencer

Odell E. Spencer, “Big Mama” went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 18, 2016, surrounded by family members. She passed away just two weeks after celebrating her 89th birthday. She had a sweet, gentle spirit and loved making people laugh. She was the owner of “Little Oz Café”, and was famous for her homemade yeast and cinnamon rolls. She leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted husband of over forty years, Otis Spencer, Starkville, MS; one daughter, Lois (Garvin) Young, Starkville, MS; grandchildren: Lisa (Ronald) Cheatham, Birmingham, AL; Gregory Bell, Oakland, CA; Angela (Marcus) Grant, Troy, AL; Cathy Rice and Elton (Veronica) Young, Starkville, MS.
