Annie Laura was born December 18, 1952 in Oktibbeha County, Starkville, Mississippi to Henry Minor and Lottie Lee Bradford Minor.
Annie Laura accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and united with the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. After relocating to Georgia, she united with the Salem Missionary Baptist Church of Gwinnet County, Georgia. She later returned to Starkville and united with Mount Peiler Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her health failed. She was actively involved in the following church ministries: Gospel Choir, Usher Ministry, NBC, Sunday School, Women Mission Ministry, Deaconess Ministry, Ministers’ Wives Ministry, and the Girl Scouts. Her involvement in religious institutions extended to the Mount Olivet District Association and its auxiliaries: the NEMS State Congress of Christian Education, and the NEMS State Convention Women’s Auxiliary.
