Archeen Rush Larry was born on May 24, 1950 in Starkville, Mississippi to Odie and Nettie Rush, both preceded her in death. She was the youngest girl of 12 children. Archeen accepted Christ at an early age at Josey Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Starkville, Mississippi, where she sang in the choir and was an active member. She departed for her heavenly home on April 13, 2016.
Archeen graduated from Henderson High School in 1968 and was awarded a vocal music scholarship from Rust College in Holly Springs, Mississippi. She was a member of the Rust College World Renowned A’Cappella Choir and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. In 1972, Archeen graduated from Rust College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Vocal Music.
