Mrs. Betty Farmer was born August 29,1917 in Noxubee County to the late Rev. A. W. Lowery and Beatrice Chandler Lowery. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at the Oakland Missionary Baptist Church. Prior to her departing this life, Mrs. Farmer was the oldest living member of the Oakland Missionary Baptist where she once served for many years as the Secretary of the Missionary Society, remaining an active member until her health failed. She attended the No. 2 School in Fairport, Noxubee County, and was a cook at the Frazier Clinic. She was a kind, loving woman full of wisdom. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: N. F. lowery, B. L. Lowery, A. W. Lowery, Jr., and Eddie White; her daughter, Lessie McLeod and her son, John Farmer.She leaves to cherish her loving memories: three daughters, Rosie F.
