Bobby Ray Walker Sr., 82, passed away on September 21, 2016 at Choctaw Regional Medical Center in Ackerman, MS. Bobby was born on November 18, 1933 to William A. Walker and Ollie Mae Sykes Walker in Moncure, MS.
He attended Byram Consolidated School where he excelled in all sports and became the captain of his high school football team. His early adult life was spent in Jackson where he worked at Redd Pest Control, Deviney Construction, and Rockett Incorporated. He was also self employed as a landscaper.
In 1984, he moved to Starkville, MS and began working for Mississippi State University in the campus landscape department doing what he truly loved....working outdoors with plants. When he retired, he enjoyed traveling across America. Bobby attended Fellowship Baptist Church in Starkville, Mississippi.
