Dwight Lamar Bell was born on October 26, 1954, in Starkville, MS to Mr. Willie James and Laura Jane Bell. He departed this life on July 21, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS.
He was baptized at and early age at Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a faithful Deacon, and member of the Brotherhood until death.
Lamar graduated from Starkville High School in 1973. He attended Alcorn State University where he concentrated in Business Administration. He also earned a certification in Child Care from East Mississippi Community College in 1999.
Lamar is a proud member of Rising Star Lodge #31 where is been a member for 30 plus years, and was inducted into the Rising Star Lodge #31 Hall of Fame in 2012 . Lamar also is a member of the Mississippi Bail bonding Association, and proud owner of Bell’s Bail Bonding; Lamar was the First black volunteer fireman in Starkville & Oktibbeha County; Bell's Bail Bonding Company was an active supporter of Starkville High...
