He is survived by his parents, J.D. and Birdie Gandy Sr.; four sons, Lovert Gaines, Zy-terrious Gandy, Jamel Gandy, Jawaski Beckum; one daughter, Taylor Nichols; and five grandchildren, Amya Gaines, Ayana, and Ala Gaines and David and London Beckum; four brothers; Otis Gandy, Patrick Gandy, J.D. Gandy Jr., and Christopher Gandy; four sisters, Amanda Crawford, Michelle Johnson, Melissa Haynes, Jennifer Lanier.
