He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Carlene Gibson Carter of Starkville, MS and his loving mother, Lula Carter of Starkville, MS; four brothers: Clark Carter (Polly) of North Carolina; Jerry Carter (LaChaveia) and Joe Carter (Hope) all of Fort Lauderdale, FL; James Carter (Davelyn) of Birmingham, AL; and Sammie Minor (Donna) of Starkville, MS; three sisters-in-law: Juliaphine Self, Wilma Madison (Russell), and Elaine Cooperwood & one brother-in-law, Randy (Lydia) all of Starkville, MS; and also a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
