Mrs. Louise W. Akins

She was born March 24, 1924, to the late Dave Williams and Nancy Gregory Williams-Carr. She departed this life on Friday, October 18, 2013, at Oktibbeha County Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John Akins; one son, Jesse; two brothers, Williams and Tommy; and two sisters, Neoma and Ruth. She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons: Charles (Geneva) Akins and Roy (Sarah)Akins both of Gary, IN; three daughters: Kay (John) Sykes of Crawford, MS, Mary Dell Brown of Gary, IN, Helen(Jerry)Young of Jackson, MS; two brothers: David Williams of Chicago, IL, and John Carr of Starkville, MS; one sister, Mary Francis Johnson of Crawford, MS; 4 sisters-in-law: Elouise (Sylvester) Hall, East Moline, IL, Rosie Bradford, Starkville, MS, Canary Williams, Chicago, IL and Louise Mosely, Crawford, MS; one brother-in-law, Eddie Jackson, Gary, IN; 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grand children, several great-great grandchildren and a host of other special relatives and friends.
