He is survived by five daughters: Betty Moore, Elder Bertha Rice, Mamie Brewer (Warren) all of Brooksville, MS; Geraldine Rieves of Crawford, MS; and Evangelist Glennie Porter (James) of Columbus, MS; three sons: Joseph Earl Rice, Alfred Rice (Andrea) both of Brooksville, MS; and Freddie B. Edwards of Cleveland, OH; three brothers: Reverend Robert Rice (Adline) of Columbus, MS; Reverend Joe Nathan Rice (Belva) of Crawford, MS; and Jasper Rice of East St. Louis, IL; one sister, Estella Jenkins of East St. Louis, IL; his mother-in-law, Maggie Dillingham of Richmond, KY; 28 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren.
