J. D. leaves to cherish his memory; one daughter, Diane Collier Smith; eight sons: Johnny Darnell Collier (Palanda) of Cleveland, MS, Jimmie Collier Sr. of West Point, MS, Ambrose Collier (Mary), Nathaniel Collier (Patricia), Willie Maurice Collier (Loretta) all of Starkville, MS, Jim Bardwell of Rolling Fork, MS, Vince Bardwell of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and William Bardwell of Jackson, MS; 16 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren; three brothers: A. J. Collier (Bessie) of Starkville, MS, T. L. Collier (Donnie) of Sturgis, MS, and Henry Collier of Chicago, IL.; one sister: Jessie Mae Young (Cal) of Greenville, MS; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
