He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Vanna Martin of Starkville, MS and Gail Martin of Austin, TX; seven grandchildren: Eric McCarter, Nigel McCarter, Chloe Vassar, Azaria McCarter, Christin Ford, Tyson Martin, and Graysen Brooks; five great grandchildren: Hamarian Evans, Ava Macon, Elijah Moore, Ethyn McCarter, Erion McCarter; sisters: Cora Mae Jones; Betty Thompson, Jerlene Thompson, Dorothy Warren (Melvin); Patricia Vernon (James); Debra Taylor (Terrance); two brothers: James Thompson and Charles Thompson; a special friend of 25 years, Brenda Rucker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
