He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 30 years, Edna Smith; four children: Eugene Clark, Patricia Clark-Brown, Monica Charles of Detroit, MI; Merrill Smith Jr. (Erica) of Memphis, TN; two stepsons: Omar Jones (Angelia) of Tupelo, MS and Desmond Jones of Starkville, MS; fifteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; one sister: Wanda Webb; one brother: Jame Smith of Detroit, MI; sisters-in-law: Daisy McKinely (Sylvester) of St. Louis, MO; Beulha Tate (Udies), Evelyn Evans (John), Linda Johnson (Wayne), Annie Jones of Starkville, MS; brothers-in-law: Willie C (Katherine), Robert Jones (Rose) of St. Louis, MO; Henry Jones (Mary), James Henry Jones of Starkville, MS; Michael Jones (Kanesha) of Houston, MS; two special nephews: Jericho Jones and Kim Smith; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
