He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife, Birdie Gandy; two daughters: Melissa Haynes (Vanderziel) of Huntsville, Alabama, Elder Amanda Crawford (Melvin) of Artesia, Mississippi; four sons: Otis Gandy (Marilyn), Patrick Gandy (Condra), J.D. Gandy Jr. of Starkville, Mississippi; Christopher Gandy (Rhowana) of San Francisco, California; two brothers: Cleveland Gandy of Orlando, Florida and Van Gandy of Mobile, Alabama; one sister, Daisy Gandy of Starkville, Mississippi. A host of loving grandchildren; Melvin Crawford Jr., Jeremiah Crawford, Brianna Haynes, Lovrent Gaines, Jarwarski Beckum, Jamel Gandy, Taylor Nichols, Zyterrious Gandy, Tavis Robinson, Latisa Robinson, Ashley Gandy, Brandon Gandy, Najja Gandy and Precious Gandy. He also leaves a host of loving great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
