He leaves to cherish his memories his children: Brenda Malone, Barbara (Mark) Ellis, Vanessa Mondest, Phyllis (Victor) Arnold, Charlene Rice, Mary Campbell, Rhonda ( Keith) Manuel, Johnny (Cynthia) Harris, Fred Rice, and Herbert (Helen) Rice. John also leaves behind his siblings: Betty Martin, Ethel Harris, and Lucille (Charles) Thompson; sisters-in-law: Ann Harris, Hazel Harris, Nancy Ann Elliott, Eddie May (Bruce) Brown, Teresa (Greg) Hudson; one brother-in-law: Willie Earl (Sharon) Gillespie. John Harris also leaves behind twenty-nine grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
