Mr. James L. Collins Jr.

James L. Collins Jr. was born August 3, 1956 to the late Goleatha Doss Emerson and James Collins Sr. in Clarksdale. Mississippi. He departed this life on March 18, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. He was 64 years old. James confessed Christ at an early age at Springhill M.B Church, where he served as an active member as a Sunday school teacher and as the audio video technician. He was a 1975 graduate of Starkville High School. He worked at Mississippi State University in the custodial services department. James was preceded in death by both parents and two brothers, Robert Doss and Lucious Edmonds. He leaves to cherish his precious memories; one sister in law, Maggie Edmonds; three nephews: Felix Edmonds, Frederick Edmonds and Lavon Edmonds; one aunt, Muggie Lee Brooks, and host of cousins and friends.
