He leaves to mourn his passing three children: Willie, Markist, and Charlene. He is survived by seven siblings: Ida (Bobby) James, Ruthie Summers, Dorothy (George) Smith, Aaron (Francine) Perkins, Walter (Teresa) Perkins, James Edward (Sheila) Perkins, and Keith Rufus Perkins; forty-eight nieces and nephews, he is fondly remembered by his aunts: Lucy Ford, Bernice Andrews, Tressie Alexander, Inez Williams, Lera Fulcrum, and one uncle: James Wilson Perkins.
