He leaves to cherish his memories; eight children: Wilburn Tate, Jr., Peggy Tate, Lexie Tate (Faye), Cedrick Tate, Alfranette Tate and Padraic Tate all of Starkville, MS; Alice Hairston (Dennis) of Columbus, MS and Kelvin Tate (Belinda) of Crawford, MS; one sister, Lucille Patrick (Tommy) of Huntsville, AL and two brothers: Roosevelt Tate (Mattie) and Dave Tate, Sr. (Minnie) both of Starkville, MS. He also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and a special friend, Reona Akins.
