Jessie Anna Beckum Robinson was born December 10, 1920 in Oktibbeha County, Starkville, MS to the late Annie Cotton and Murphy Beckum, Sr. She peacefully passed away on July 7,2021, at her home surrounded by family. She was the youngest of 13 children; all of whom preceded her in death. They were: Nellie Skinner, Luretha Brown, Margaret Tucker, Dollie Outlaw, Queen Dickerson, Lenolia Mosley, Adell Rice, Ensonolia Dawkins, Sarah Turner, James Beckum, Murphy Beckum, Jr., and T.G. Beckum. At an early age she confessed hope in Jesus Christ at Zion U.M. Church. She later joined Griffin U.M. Church, where she was an active member until death. She served on the usher board and was an honorary member of the United Methodist Women. On November 24, 1943, in Pendleton, OR she married Johnnie Walker (Preacher) Robinson. She leaves 3 children to cherish her memories: Sammie Lee Coffer (Elsie), Terry John Robinson (Shari) and Carey Ann Robinson-Duck.
