Mrs. Mary Katherine Williams

A TIME TO BE BORN: Mary Katherine Williams was born as Mary Katherine Brooks on August 24, 1943, in Starkville, MS, to the late Thomas and Ethel Lee Brooks. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a member of the Rock Hill Methodist Church in Starkville. A TIME TO LIVE: Mary Katherine was a blessing to many when she touched the crown of their heads. She attended Oktibbeha County Schools and was a graduate of Henderson High School. Her entrepreneurship started when she graduated from Annie Laurie’s Beauty School in June 1962. Williams Beauty Salon was in the basement of Dr. D.L. Conner’s building. One thing Mary Katherine was very passionate about was her customers. Many times, she brought the beauty salon to the home of her customers when they were ill. She is a lifetime member of the First District Mississippi Independent Beauty Association (MIBA). She married Elijah Williams, Jr. March 17, 1963.
