Our dear mother, Willie Mae Ellis-Ware sadly passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the Carrington Nursing Home at the age of 66. She was a wonderful mother who was there when we
needed her. She also had many friends and was well-loved neighbor of the Deerfield Community in Starkville, MS. Mae was born November 10, 1957, in Starkville (Oktibbeha County), MS, to the late L.A Clark and the late Eula M. Ellis. Mae attended the Starkville School System. Mae accepted Christ in her youth and united with the Mt. Peiler MB Church. Mae met and married the love of her life, Bruce Ware, in their home officiated by her big brother, Rev. James E. Ellis. Mae worked as a bus driver for the Headstart Program and at Bryan Foods in West Point, MS until the business closed in 2005. Mae was an avid reader. She loved to read the area newspapers and novels.
