Mrs. Eva Mae Minor

Mrs. Eva Mae Minor was born December 28, 1937 in Starkville, MS to George and Alice Askew, they both preceded her in death. Mrs. Minor departed this life on March 4, 2021 at her home in Starkville, MS. Mrs. Minor was a devoted Sunday school teacher and usher at Blackjack Missionary Baptist Church for several years. She retired from Mississippi State University after several dedicated years of service. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Lewis Minor Jr. of 55 years and beloved step-son, Richard Minor. Her memories to cherish will be left with, her daughters and son: Janice (Dennis) Simmons of Houston, TX, Cathy Powers of West Point, MS and Melvis (Juanita) Minor of Starkville, MS. A brother, Robert Askew of Maywood, IL. She also leaves to cherish 11 grandchildren, 6 honorary grandchildren and a host of great-children, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and loved-ones.
