She leaves behind to cherish her memories; her loving husband, Johnnie Will Turnipseed of Starkville, MS; her mother-in-law, Virginia Turnipseed of Starkville, MS; two sons, Locarno (Krishina) Turnipseed and Johnnie Lamar Turnipseed both of Starkville, MS; a stepdaughter, Katina (Tyrone) Haslett of Starkville, MS; ten grandchildren; six sisters: Lemonia Mosby of St. Louis, MO, Louise Robinson of Hattiesburg, MS, Ruth Ann Brooks of Starkville, MS, Sennie Brooks of St. Louis, MO, Charity Rockingham of Brandon, MS, and the late Patsy Rogers; eight brothers: Ronald (Susie) Brooks of St. Louis, MO, Oscar Brooks of Chicago, IL, Michael (Annie Mae) Wynn of Starkville, MS, and the late Roy Brooks, Eddie Brooks, Lampkin Brooks Jr., James Brooks Jr., and Tenola Brooks; sisters-in-law, Barbara Brooks of St. Louis, MO, and Brenda Brooks of Chicago, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
