Magnolia Halfacre Peterson was born July 12, 1943 to George and Sarah Halfacre in Starkville, Mississippi and was one of twelve children. Both parents preceded her in death. Magnolia was united in holy matrimony to Walter Bernard Peterson on July 29, 1961. To this union five children were born. Magnolia was a born-again, spirit-filled believer in Jesus Christ and served well in the kingdom of God. She served as an Evangelist and Missionary in her local church, worked with the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department where she witnessed to inmates, ministered to the elderly in the Starkville Manor Nursing Home, and continued as a fervent prayer warrior until her death. She truly loved the Lord and was known for her jubilant praise and worship every time she entered the sanctuary of the Lord. She was known for driving fast and would often say, “I feel like praising the Lord a hundred miles an hour”. One of her favorite Sunday pastimes was to travel to concerts and enjoy singing, praising, and dancing...
