Oscar Lee Brown, the son to the late Robert Brown and Angeline Collier, was born October 14, 1927 in Oktibbeha County. He answered God’s command to return unto Him and his heavenly home on January 17, 2015.
At an early age, Oscar accepted Christ and united with the Josey Creek M. B. Church where he remained a faith member until his death. He served as a Trustee for many years. Also, he served as a “Boost” to all “Men of God” who was preaching and teaching God’s Holy Words. He had a famous saying “Come on up Son” that he would call out to the Preachers. Oscar loved the Lord and he let the world knew by traveling many years up and down the road managing the Mighty Travelers spreading God’s words through praying and singing.
November 12, 1944 under Rev. Pete Trainer, Oscar Lee Brown married Marie Horsley (71 years of togetherness); and to this union, twelve children were born.
