She is survived by three daughters: Jessie J. Hollingshed of Crawford, Mississippi; Lorain Logan-Conner (Curtis) of Los Angeles, California; and Maggie B. Patrick (Winston) of Starkville, Mississippi; three sons: Charles Gillespie (Gwen) of Edgewood, Kentucky; James Emmitt Brown (friend, Mercedes White) of Starkville, Mississippi; and Lovorn Brown (Daisy) of Columbus, Mississippi; one step-daughter, Annie Mae Chalmers of Memphis, Tennessee; 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 9 great, great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Patrick Bibbs of Memphis, Tennessee
