He is survived by his wife, Marlean Brooks; two children: Brandon Riley and Courtland Olson (Andrea); two step-children: Tavis Robinson (Wanda) and Latesa Miller; his mother, Muggie L. Brooks; his father-in-law, Tannie Robinson, Sr.; three brothers: Broderick Brooks (Kassandra), Pastor K.L. Brooks Cheryl), and Dexter Brooks (Shanita), and seven grandchildren.
