Raymond was an outstanding man with a heart worth more than gold. In that heart, he had a desire to help anyone who crossed his path and presented with a need. Raymond enjoyed going to church, spending time with his family and friends, playing his base guitar, and going on trail rides, with his friends, on his four-wheeler. In his spare time, he loved building things. A further joy of his life, was the 40 plus years performing with the Flames Band, which has been inducted into the Blues Hall of Flame of Starkville, MS.
Raymond leaves to cherish his memories, four children who he loved dearly, Tanya Outlaw (Ronnie), Terry Doss, Ebony Doss, and Ricky Doss all of Starkville, MS., five sisters, Maxine Fields-Sargent, Ethel McCoy, Mildred Lee, Elizabeth Doss and Allie Hunter (Luther); two brothers, Willie Doss (long time companion Faye), and Roger Doss (Essie), and raised as a sister, Vernell-Doss Griffis.
