MR. REGENIAL CLIFFORD WARD

Regenial Clifford Ward was born August 22, 1964, to the late William Enoch Ward III and Annie Dell Ward in Starkville, Mississippi, Oktibbeha County. Regenial was better known as “Reggie.” He was the fourth child of his five siblings. Reggie accepted Christ at an early age in Lompoc, California. As a child and young man, he was an active member of Truevine Baptist Church both in Lompoc, and Los Angeles, California. Regenial received his formal education in the Los Angeles Unified School District. He attended Purche Elementary School, Henry Clay Junior High School, and Gardena High School. After graduating from high school, he completed post-secondary studies at National Technical School in Los Angeles, California for automotive and diesel mechanics. He also attended Antelope Community College where he took classes focusing on careers in the legal field. Reggie was savvy in understanding and interpreting the law. As the years passed, Regenial continued to perfect his knowledge in understanding the construction of newer vehicles. He was passionate when it came to working on vehicles. Regenial was an excellent auto mechanic. He could diagnose and repair a vehicle just by listening to the issue being described. Besides auto mechanics, Regenial was well-read and could hold anyone in an in-depth conversation about many subjects, especially local and national politics. Regenial united in holy matrimony to Sabrina Tarrant in August 1988. To this union four children were born (Regenial Jr, Andrew, Christopher, and Kayla Ward) – three sons and one daughter. They remained married for sixteen years. On Sunday, January 7, 2024, the trumpet of heaven resounded in a vibrant cantata and the clouds of the sky rolled back. God dispatched an angel to Northeast Medical Center in Tupelo, MS to reclaim the beautiful soul that he was. He brought Regenial Clifford Ward a message of serenity and peace. His immortal spirit transcended into the sphere from whence it came, and his immortal body succumbed to a quiet demise. Regenial leaves to cherish his memory and anticipated glorious reunion according to I Thessalonian 4:16-17, a loving mother, Mrs. Annie Dell Ward of Palmdale, California; three sons: Regenial, Jr. and Andrew Ward of Lancaster, CA; Christopher Ward of Whittier, CA; and one daughter, Kayla Ward of Lancaster, CA; two grandchildren – Jada and Jenaya Ward of Lancaster, CA. He also leaves to mourn his passing, one sister – Dr. Virginia Ward-Roberts of Gardena, CA; three brothers – Alonzo and Wilbert Ward both of Palmdale, CA; William Enoch Ward III of Gardena, CA; and two God-siblings – Charles Hollins of Chicago, Illinois, and Geralcene Hollins of New Orleans, Louisiana. Two nephews: Cashes Ward of Los Angeles, CA and Aaron Roberts of Gardena, CA. Regenial also leaves to mourn five aunts – Lizzie Mae Ward and Annie Ruth Nicks, both of Starkville, MS; Lillian Burton of Lompoc, CA; Nell Childress of Gary, IN; and Letha Dell Roby of Moreno Valley, CA. Lastly, he leaves to mourn numerous cousins, who faithfully supported and cared for him, a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends. Regenial has passed from the fullness of this life to the perfection of the next. We thank God for the way in which he touched our lives, for how he loved us, for what we learned from him, for how he made us think, cry, love, and laugh.
