Mr. Robert Eugene "Bobby" Winston

Robert Eugene “Bobby” Winston, 77, passed away on October 23, 2026. Born on November 12, 1948, in Oktibbeha County MS, he was the second of five sons born to Ike Winston and Mary McCabe. A proud Vietnam veteran, Bobby was a hardworking man who owned and operated a Merritt Reed body shop for many years. On March 1, 1973, he married Frankie McIlwain Carpenter. Bobby and Frankie shared more than 52 years of marriage before her passing in August 2025. Bobby is survived by his children, Wayne and Lori Ann Carpenter, Monti and Jason King, and Robbi and Jerome Lepard; six grandchildren, Chloe (Casey) Morgan, Owen (Victoria) King, Isaac Lepard, Micah King, Allie Lepard, and Quinn Lepard; and one great-grandchild, Lincoln Morgan. Bobby will be remembered for his kind and generous heart, his humor, his devotion to family, and his willingness to put others before himself. He treasured time with his brothers, cousins, children, and grandchildren, and his family will forever cherish the memories and traditions they shared. His family finds comfort in knowing he is reunited with his beloved Frankie and welcomed home by his Savior, Jesus Christ. His legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will live on in all who knew him.
