Mrs. Vergie Jenette Akins

Sister Akins was united in matrimony to the late Kit Akins Sr., and to this union seven children were born. She leaves to cherish her memory: Kit Akins, Jr. (Kathy); Evelyn Jenette Akins ; Walter Douglas (Ann); Rita Faye, Rodney Lavon all of Starkville, MS; Greta Akins Taylor (Carl) of Midland, GA and Cedric Lamar of Honolulu, HI. A son-in-law JB Griffith. She also leaves a continued legacy of 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; one sister, Emma Elsberry (Newark, NJ), two brother-in-laws, Tenola Akins (Mulsberry, IL), and Monroe Akins, (Chicago, IL), a special niece, Beatrice Harris, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.,
